I've spent more than 25 years helping borrowers and mortgage professionals navigate challenging files that don't always fit inside traditional guidelines.

My mortgage career began in 1999, and my wholesale background started in 2003 as an Account Executive. Over the years, I've worked in roles ranging from Account Executive and District Manager to Regional Manager and Vice President, supporting loan officers, brokers, and lending teams across the country. Throughout that journey, I've learned that the difference between a declined loan and a closed loan is often not the borrower, it's the strategy.

I entered the Non-QM space in 2014, long before most loan officers were talking about it. Time after time, the opportunity was there, but many originators didn't know how to structure the file.

As Non-QM continued to grow, I found myself helping loan officers solve increasingly complex scenarios. The more files I reviewed, the more I realized that success in Non-QM isn't about memorizing hundreds of guidelines.

It's about understanding a repeatable process for identifying opportunities: selecting the right qualification strategy, avoiding deal killers, and maintaining control of the file from application through closing.

Throughout my career, I've always looked for ways to simplify complicated processes. Whether it was building calculators, creating review systems, organizing underwriting requirements, or developing tools that help identify potential issues before submission, my focus has been to make complex loans easier to understand and easier to close. Non-QM Gold was created to share those lessons.

Today, I continue to partner with mortgage professionals working directly with mortgage brokers and loan officers, helping them evaluate scenarios, identify solutions, navigate exceptions, and close more Non-QM transactions successfully.
